New Ukrspets Systems Factory in England to Strengthen Equipment Supply for Ukrainian Army
London, 27 February: Ukrainian drone manufacturer UkrspetsSystems has launched a new production factory in England. The British government confirmed the information on Thursday, stating that the new facility will help ensure a steady supply of critical military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In a statement, the UK Ministry of Defence said the company has invested approximately 200 million euros (about 271 million US dollars) in the project. As part of the initiative, a production center has been established in Mildenhall in eastern England, along with a separate testing facility in Elmswell.
Rory Chamberlain, Director of UkrspetsSystems UK, said that four years after Russia’s full-scale invasion, the factory represents an important step in ensuring secure supply chains, protected assets, and sustainable support for Ukraine. He also noted that other Ukrainian defense companies have already launched or are planning production facilities in various European countries, including Denmark and Germany.
It has not been specified what types of drones will be produced at the new UK factory. However, founded in 2014, UkrspetsSystems is particularly known for manufacturing surveillance drones.
Meanwhile, the United Kingdom has already procured 80 such drones for the Ukrainian forces.
